The Problem

The Problem
A national real estate developer was developing a 20-story residential condo building in Midtown, New York, and needed a program that beat the contractor controlled insurance program (CCIP) proposed by the contractor.
The NFP Solution
We built an owner’s interest and excess tower and a builder’s risk program that allowed the client to bet on themselves rather than the fixed cost of the CCIP. The local team worked closely with the client to understand their problems and guide them through the process, which took a long time due to city approvals, lender closing, attorney due diligence and more. We were able to save the client $5 million in variable costs using the owner’s interest program.
