Vice Chairman, NFP

Ed provides strategic guidance and mentorship that strengthen leadership continuity, preserve institutional knowledge, and support a robust succession strategy for organizational growth. Ed joined NFP in 2002 and most recently served as executive vice president, head of Insurance Brokerage and Consulting. In that role, he led the transformation of the business into a regionally managed enterprise, delivering integrated middle market solutions across property and casualty, corporate benefits, life insurance and wealth management.

He also maintained financial leadership and P&L oversight across all business lines and regions. Previously, Ed served as president of Individual Solutions and Corporate Benefits, where he focused on aligning people, products and services across geographic regions and operating platforms.

He has a proven track record of recruiting and developing top talent, achieving industry-leading retention rates and helping many of NFP's current leaders develop the skills that have helped them succeed.  Throughout his career at NFP, Ed has played a significant role in the firm's M&A strategy, including identifying acquisition opportunities and helping build a strong transaction pipeline. He was a key leader in NFP’s acquisition by Aon for $13 billion.

He has also been instrumental in shaping NFP's culture through transparent, people-focused leadership. Prior to joining NFP, Ed founded vSimplify, a benefits administration technology company. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati.
