NFP Named to Business Insurance’s Annual List of Best Places to Work in Insurance

NEW YORK – September 9, 2021 – NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides property and casualty (P&C), corporate benefits, retirement, and individual solutions, today announced it has been named to Business Insurance’s annual list of Best Places to Work in Insurance for the fifth consecutive year. Through their employees’ anonymous feedback and ratings, the award recognizes employers for their outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work and help their companies grow.

“Being recognized as a best place to work by Business Insurance reflects how our employees have embraced our diverse, equitable and inclusive culture where belonging is a priority,” said Doug Hammond, chairman and CEO of NFP. “We continue to grow and welcome new people to our organization, and how we support each other, our clients and our communities sets us apart. I look forward to working together to solidify our position as an employer of choice by identifying areas where we can improve and evolve thoughtfully and productively.”

“Being a people-first company requires more than just saying it and this recognition as a best place to work tells us that our actions are having an impact for employees,” said Ginnette Quesada-Kunkel, NFP’s chief human resources officer. “When you create a workplace that people want to be part of, and you support employees in ways that go beyond just checking boxes, you see the benefits in the impact employees have with clients and in the communities where we live and work. While we’re proud of where we are, we believe we can go even further.”

“Being named among the Best Places to Work in Insurance for the fifth year in a row says so much about our team and our priorities,” said Mary Steed, chief people officer at NFP. “This recognition is all about the people who drive our success each day and understand that doing the right things the right way matters in every relationship we have. We’re in an environment where talented professionals have a variety of options in terms of the employers they choose so it’s more essential than ever for us to advance a culture that’s attractive to people with diverse capabilities, experiences and perspectives.”

Best Places to Work in Insurance is an annual sponsored content feature presented by the Custom Publishing unit of Business Insurance and Best Companies Group that lists the agents, brokers, insurance companies and other providers with the highest levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based Best Companies Group identifies the leading employers in the insurance industry by conducting a free two-part assessment of each company. The first part is a questionnaire completed by the employer about company policies, practices and demographics. The second part is a confidential employee survey on engagement and satisfaction.

The program divides employers into the categories of small, 25-249 employees; medium, 250-999 employees; and large, 1,000 or more employees. This year’s report features 100 companies of various sizes, from 25 employees to more than 4,000.

The ranking and profiles of the winning companies will be unveiled as a sponsored content supplement in the October issue of Business Insurance and online at
